resource table specification initiative

Hello, As discussed in last OpenAMP meeting, here is the work I started related to the creation of a specification for the resource table. This document describes the resource table version 1, implemented in the Linux kernel and in the OpenAMP library. All, We have our normal meeting today. Last week in the special meeting we decided to talk about buffer size negotiation this week. I looked at this all last weekend. I think the right thing to do is a bit more complicated than what we were discussing last week. I suggest that today we focus on the buffer size negotiation and put off the discussion of the two phase creation handshake. Special Meeting this Friday

We need to make sure we do such changes carefully and: * maintain back compatibility when the other processor is running older code, fallback gracefully * implementation is possible for both Linux kernel and baremetal/RTOS * is general purpose and will server a wide range of use cases In general I think everyone wants to see changes like this we just need to find the right form. New with OpenAMP

Hi! I am a PhD student and I am using OpenAMP for a research work. I am trying to compare latencies between a FreeRTOS application in R5 with OpenAMP and a FreeRTOS application in A53 with Xen hypervisor. I am using a zynq ZCU102 platform. I have just started the PhD, so I am not completely sure of what I am going to do for the thesis. I wanted to relate this (OpenAMP, hypervisors...) with the FPGA, but I don't know how. Now my intention is to do a paper (my first article) about the latencies with OpenAMP and Xen. If someone has any advice for me, I'd be glad to listen to it. Also, when I get stuck at something (I am new using OpenAMP) I wolud like to ask you for support if you agree. Thank you very much! Sara Hi!
